“I really must pick up those Ready Salted I trod into the carpet earlier. It’s beginning to look a lot like crisp mush” was posted on Twitter by Heather Hill on December 12, 2011. “I’ve just accidentally poured cola into a bag of Salt n Shake. If Pringles potato chips ("crisps" in the UK) get into your carpet, it can begin to look a lot like crisp mush. Window._PLUGIN_STATE_ = JSON."It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” (1951) is a Christmas standard song by Meredith Wilson. Not a great experience mostly due to the attitude of the staff for which there is no excuse. The choice was standard although who eats mini frankfurters for breakfast I don't know and the bacon was undercooked. The poor waitress could not keep up with replenishing everything on her own. The plates were filthy we had to sort through six to find a clean one. There was one person serving, the bread was hard, and the bread for toasting was stale. Breaksfast was inlcuded in our room rate although some people appeared to be paying 15.50€. My braised local sausage was disgusting, the saute potatoes from the freezer and the mange tout mush. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were a very inferior quality and lumpy. The bathroom has been updated and was good. Really in the peak of the summer season? The room is fine if a little tired and need of updating. We were told very casually that one of the two restaurants was closed for August. The front of house were not particularly interested in their guests. However the staff are in need of training. Large grounds, lovely pool and terrace area, good gym and spa facilities. So irresponsible, STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK!! Worst of all, we saw a woman get a key to her room at reception without showing ID or giving her name, just her room number. No ID check at all!! So anyone could go to a restaurant, laundry, spa, whatever and use your room # to charge their things. Like laundry, which we didn't have done! The problem stems from the fact that they charge everything to your room, simply by asking the room number. We had issues with charges we did not make. The other restaurant which was the one where you get breakfast as well, the staff there went above and beyond and were amazing. The restaurant with the bar, the staff was very rude.

The Do not Disturb Sign kept going missing, I had to ask for new ones at reception. We had to ask for another towel EVERY DAY, and some days were only given a hand towel to use. We were 2 people and they only gave us one towel!! The thinnest, flimsiest towel I've ever seen. Which meant that you had to go downstairs to wash your hands every time you used the bathroom which was upstairs. The room had 2 floors the sink and shower on the first floor and the toilet on the second floor. So many things went wrong during our stay! First of all the room we were given was located outside of the hotel, so you had to walk in the cold wet rain to get to your room.
